THE ANSWER, FIRST
GTA 6 preload date & file size.
Rockstar has not announced a preload date or install size for GTA VI yet. Here is what is known and how to prepare.
Preload date
Not announced. Rockstar has confirmed pre-orders and the November 19, 2026 launch, but no preload window yet. Console preloads are normally switched on by the platform store for digital pre-orders; check your PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store library in the days before launch.
File size
Not announced. We do not publish estimates or leaked numbers. The official size will be added here from the store listing or Rockstar.
How to prepare
- Pre-order the digital version on the console you will play on, so a preload can start automatically if one is offered.
- Keep free space on your console storage until the official size is listed.
- The Standard Edition is also sold as a code in a box, which still downloads the game.
